Bag-In-Box

Smurfit-Stone's Bag-in-Box is a unique design of box that has an integrated leak-proof bag and nozzle. These boxes are designed to dispense a variety of liquids, such as:

• Wine
• Milk
• Liquid egg
• Fruit and vegetable juice

The Bag-in-Box system is ideally designed to conserve liquid and semi-liquid food or industrial products. The system is comprised of a flexible bag, an outer case made from corrugated board, and a filling machine (which may include not only the filler, but also case sealers, erectors, and conveyers). The flexible bag is designed to fit inside the case.

The bags can be made from various film combinations, from between one and three films, and bag capacity can range from three to 1,000 liters. The bags are complemented by a wide range of necks and closures.
